Thanks for joining my penpal project! I am excited to learn more about you all and I know my daughter is looking forward to sharing letters! Below is a guide with ideas and suggestions about what to send each week, but anything is acceptable. Send whatever inspires you or your little one and keep your letters at whatever learning level your child is currently at. There are no expectations or rules. Participate as much or as little as you'd like and are able.
Weekly updates with tips for the project are on this blog with the labels penpals and homeschool. Please use the comments section to discuss, troubleshoot, and support others with the process. I am always open to suggestion as well, so don't hesitate to comment with any you may have.
Week 1 (3/11)- introductory letter with photo of your child
Week 2 (3/18)- send a coloring page or craft project completed by your child
Week 3 (3/25)- write about a book you read this week
Week 4 (4/1)- theme: bugs!
Week 5 (4/8)- theme: playing dress up
Week 6 (4/15)- theme: spring!
Week 7 (4/22)- include younger and older siblings and/or cousins, friends, etc
Week 8 (4/29)- tell us about your pets or favorite animal
Week 9 (5/6)- theme: things that go
Week 10 (5/13)- theme: green
Week 11 (5/20)- draw a picture of your family
Week 12 (5/27)- theme: music
